 Perfect for protection August 26, 2010
The shell case is the right size for my Nuvi 265. It seems to protect more the device than the Garmin product sold separetly. The point one has to have in mind is that this case is bigger that the Garmin one, so depending of the pants pockets size you can't put it inside them.

I bought this item for my Garmin 1350, which is my first GPS ever. I was attracted to the price. The whole thing cost me less than $8, which is a steal, when you think about it.
We have multiple cars, like most American households, and so we wanted something we can take with us and store in the glove department without scratching it up. We also wanted something we can put the charger in.
So the good things:
- price
- the leash (quite handy now when I think about it)
Can be improved things:
- black, really? can't do this in any other color?
- construction is a bit weak. I'm scared that it'll lose its shape in a couple of years.
- space. It's REALLY TIGHT in there. I would not put anything else but the charger and GPS in there, though there is a sleeve for memory cards. I would NOT put any in there - probably will crack them upon closure.
But overall, it's a good value for what you need. Nothing fancy and gets the job done.

I would definitely not recommend this hard case. I bought this for my 4.3 Garmin GPS. This was a poor choice.
The unit does fit well, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. The case is very bulky, the construction is very cheaply done, zipper is poor quality and I doubt it will last very long. I would have returned it if I could! I considered this a loss and went out and bought another case, one that is leather, slim design that would easily fit in glove box of the car or purse.

The quality of this case is good. I have a Nuvi. The big problem is that you cannot pack your charger AC or car charger inside. The case is just too small. I am very disappointed in the case. The purpose for purchasing it to begin with was to be able to pack the cord inside to be able to travel with the cord and unit packed together. For me, this case is worthless! I would not recommend this case!
